Shortly before 3 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24th,Local members were dispatched to a smoke investigation at the Courtyard by Marriott near I-25 and County Line Road. The response was upgraded to a working commercial structure fire when crews confirmed there was smoke and fire in the ceiling of the swimming pool room. Read More...

At 4:58 p.m. on Monday, February 22nd, Local members along with members from Local 1209 responded to a reported garage fire at 5781 S. Kalispell Court in Centennial. As units were responding, a large plume of black smoke was visible from miles away. Read More...

At 3:24 p.m. on Saturday, February 20th, Local 2086 and 1290 members responded to a grass fire along the west side of Powhaton Road just north of County Line Road. Gusty winds from the approaching cold front were pushing the fire south and west toward homes. Members began initial fire attack from the road while additional units were sent into the neighborhood for structure protection, if needed. Read More...

On Saturday morning, February 20th, Local members honored the memory of Engineer John Wood Sr. On February 20, 1981 Engineer Wood was operating a brush truck on the scene of a large wildland fire east of Pine Drive and north of Mainstreet near Parker when he tragically suffered a heart attack and died. At 1:33 a.m. on Monday, February 15, 2021, Local members responded to a report of smoke inside the home at 7780 S. Kit Carson Dr. in Centennial. The family safely evacuated without injuries. Members from first arriving Engine 15 reported smoke showing from the eaves and declared a working fire, prompting the dispatch of additional units. Read More...

At 7:05 p.m. on Sunday, February 14, 2021, Members from Engine 31 were dispatched to a fire alarm activation at 5450 S. Dallas Street. Greenwood Village Police Officers were first to arrive on scene and they encountered heavy smoke inside the residence. The response was upgraded to a working structure fire and additional SMFR resources were dispatched. Read More...

At 2:25 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021, Local members responded to several 911 calls reporting at house on fire at 5112 S. Newton Street in Littleton. First arriving Engine and Medic 11 found a large volume of smoke and fire visible from the front and rear of the home. Members advanced an attack hose line to control the flames and conducted a 360 degree walk around. Read More...

At 2:17 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2021, Local members responded to several reports of a house fire at 6 Southridge Way in Littleton. First arriving Battalion 2 found a small single-story home with the attached garage fully engulfed.
