Local members have responded to 2 different duckling rescues in the past 2 days. On April 30th Ladder 12 responded to a storm drain near Arapahoe Rd. and University Blvd. in Centennial, CO and on May 1st Tower 18 responded to a storm drain near Hackberry St. and Golden Eagle Ave. in the Highlands Ranch Metro District. Highline Circle Multi Family Structure Fire
At 12:46 a.m. on Monday April 29th, Local members responded to a building fire at 240 E. Highline Circle in Centennial. Multiple 911 callers reported flames visible from the 3rd floor of a building at the Highline Meadows Condominium complex. Read More...
John P Cernich Sr. Remembrance
Today marks the 50th anniversary of John P. Cernich Sr.’s line of duty death while with Littleton Fire Rescue. Shortly after reporting for duty at Littleton Fire Station 1 on April 28, 1969, Captain John Cernich was participating in a daily mandatory physical fitness program. One of the requirements was the completion of a one mile run in less than eight minutes. Read More...
Cherry Creek Brush Fire
At 1:58 p.m. on Friday April 19th, Local members responded to multiple 911 reports of a vegetation fire along the Cherry Creek Trail just north of Broncos Parkway. First arriving Brush 42 found a 50’ x 100’ grass fire burning between the creek and the bike path behind Courtney Downs Apartments and began a direct attack. Read More...
George Burton Remembrance
April 17th marked the 36th anniversary of George Burton’s line of duty death while with the Parker Volunteer Fire Department. After responding to several calls on March 25th 1983, George suffered a heart attack while at the fire station.
