Friday, June 3, 2022 - Just after 4 a.m., Local members responded to multiple reports of a mobile home fire near C-470 and Santa Fe in Littleton. Upon arrival, members found heavy fire conditions and had concerns that the fire may have extended towards neighboring homes. Members quickly pulled hose lines for fire attack while simultaneously searching the home for any people that may be trapped. The fire was quickly placed under control, but an extensive overhaul to check for hot spots had them working into dawn. Although initial reports stated that one party was missing, the person was found and was safe. One resident woke up to working smoke alarms and was able to safely evacuate. Fortunately, neither civilians nor firefighters reported any injuries. The cause was accidental due to improperly discarded rags.
